Account Setup: Credits Overview

This setting is available to Owners and Admins only.

Purpose: Credits power optional features across the platform. This step introduces the different credit types so you understand what is available and how credits are consumed before you start using them.

Path: Settings > Credits

What you can do here

Enrichment credits: Enrich contact records with additional data
Use enrichment credits to look up publicly available information about a contact. You need a phone number or a street address on the record to run enrichment against. Email-only records cannot be enriched. The system uses that data point to find and return additional contact information such as other phone numbers, email addresses, and validated address details. One credit is consumed per successful enrichment. Failed lookups are not charged.

Contact scoring credits: Check contact data quality
Contact scoring runs a third-party data quality check on a contact's phone number and email address. It returns a quality grade for each, helping you identify which records have valid, reachable contact information. One credit is consumed per contact scored. Results are cached for 30 days, so rescoring the same contact within that window does not consume an additional credit.

SMS credits: Send automated text messages
SMS credits are consumed when text messages are sent through automations or lead flow routing rules. One-to-one text messages sent manually from a contact record do not consume SMS credits. One credit is consumed per automated message sent.

AI credits: Power AI-assisted features across the platform
AI credits fuel features like chat assistance, call summaries, smart content generation, automation suggestions, and Smart List natural language filtering. Landing page generation is a coming soon feature that will also use AI credits. Credits are consumed based on the complexity of each interaction. Your plan includes a monthly allotment of AI credits that refreshes on your subscription anniversary date.

Email credits: Send emails through the Sure Send deliverability suite
If you use Sure Send's built-in deliverability suite (rather than your own connected provider like Google, Outlook, or SendGrid), each sent email consumes one email credit. This applies to all emails sent through the managed provider, including manual sends, automation emails, and newsletter campaigns. Teams sending through their own connected provider do not consume email credits for those messages.

Good to know

The Credits page is only accessible to Owner accounts. Admins and members cannot view or manage credits. The same applies to Billing. Credits are purchased separately from your subscription. You can monitor your balance and configure auto top-up for each credit type from the Credits page so your team never runs out unexpectedly.
