What’s Improved
We’ve made several enhancements to the CSV import tool to make migrating your contacts smoother and more reliable.
Expanded Field Mapping
The column mapping dropdown now includes more fields, organized into helpful groups:
- Contact - Email, Email 2
- Name - First Name, Last Name, Full Name
- Phone - Primary Phone, Phone Type, Phone 2, Phone 3
- Address - Street, City, State, Zip, Country
- CRM - Stage, Assigned To, Lead Source
- Custom Fields - Any custom fields you’ve created
Better File Handling
- CSV files encoded in Windows-1252 or ISO-8859-1 (common when exporting from Excel) are now automatically detected and imported correctly
- Non-CSV files are rejected earlier with a clear error message
Improved Navigation
- Browser back/forward buttons now work as expected throughout the import wizard
- Added a “Back to Imports” link when viewing import progress or results
- You can navigate away during processing and return to check status anytime
