What’s New
The contact info section on a person’s record now keeps each row tidier and makes “Set as primary” a one-click action.
What changed
- Inline star button (⭐) on every secondary email, phone, and address. Click it to promote that entry to primary. The star is hidden on the current primary (nothing to promote).
- Three-dot menu (⋯) holds Edit, Delete, and Add new. The menu only shows actions you’re allowed to perform on this field — so on a locked contact, members see exactly the options that apply to them.
- Members can now set primary on locked contacts. Previously, the only path to promote a secondary on a locked field was to add a new entry with the Primary checkbox. The inline star removes that friction.
Why we made this change
The old row layout mixed actions that need admin permissions (Edit, Delete) with actions that don’t (Set as primary). When a field was locked, the entire action area disappeared for members — including the ability to flip which entry is primary. The new pattern separates those concerns so the role-agnostic action is always available, and the role-gated actions live where they belong.
