Account Setup: Email Settings
This setting is available to Owners and Admins only.
Purpose: This step sets up your team's default email sender. When automations or system emails need to send on behalf of your team and no individual user email is available, this is the fallback address they send from.
Path: Settings > Email Settings > Team Providers tab
What you can do here
Connect a Google or Outlook account via OAuth (recommended)
The simplest option. Click Connect Google Account or Connect Outlook Account, sign in, and authorize Sure Send to send on behalf of that email address. You can connect multiple accounts (e.g., [email protected], [email protected]) and designate one as the team default.
Connect a third-party email service
If your team uses a dedicated email delivery platform, you can connect it here. We currently support SendGrid, Mailgun, and Mailchimp.
Advanced SMTP configuration
For teams with specific email infrastructure requirements, you can configure a custom SMTP server. This option requires your SMTP host, port, username, and password.
Good to know
This is the team-level email configuration. Each individual user also connects their own personal email in Personal Setup (Step 5: Email Settings). When an automation sends "from assigned user," it uses the individual's connected email. If that user has no personal email connected, the system falls back to the team default you configure here.
